Product Staff/Principal Product Manager, Patient Experience at Wheel

Staff/Principal Product Manager owns multi-year vision and roadmap for consumer-facing virtual care patient experience, balancing enterprise partner requirements with scalable product strategy.

Lead Remote Posted about 19 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Job Title: Staff/Principal Product Manager, Patient Experience

Location: Remote, USA

About the Company

Wheel is evolving the traditional care ecosystem by equipping the nation’s most innovative companies with a premier platform to deliver high-quality virtual care at scale. We offer proven strategies and cutting-edge technologies to foster consumer engagement, build brand loyalty, and maximize return on investment. Wheel solutions include configurable virtual care programs, an intuitive consumer interface, and access to a nationwide network of board-certified clinicians. Discover how Wheel is transforming the future of healthcare by visiting www.wheel.com.

About the Role

As a Staff/Principal Product Manager, Patient Experience at Wheel, you will own the strategy and roadmap behind the consumer-facing experience that patients use to access care through our enterprise partners. This is a B2B2C role: our patients interact with Wheel through partner brands, so you’ll need to design experiences that satisfy a consumer’s expectations for a modern healthcare product while also meeting the technical, brand, and compliance requirements of large enterprise partners.

You’ll operate at a systems level, connecting patient-facing experience decisions to the underlying clinical, operational, and platform architecture that makes those experiences possible. You bring real hands-on experience shaping AI-powered product, not just using AI tools in your own workflow. This is a builder role for a senior product leader who can set a multi-year vision for patient experience and drive it forward through close, hands-on partnership with Engineering.

What You’ll Do (Job Duties/Responsibilities)

Strategy & Vision

  • Define the multi-year vision and roadmap for the patient experience across Wheel’s white-labeled consumer surfaces, balancing partner-specific requirements with a coherent, scalable core product

  • Establish a point of view on where the patient experience should be standardized across partners versus configured per partner, and build the frameworks to support that decision-making

  • Translate enterprise partner requirements across market segments into a unified product strategy that serves patients well regardless of the front door they came through

  • Champion design as a strategic differentiator; work hand-in-hand with Design to set a bar for what a trustworthy, AI+human powered patient experience looks like at scale

Systems Thinking & Cross-Functional Execution

  • Map the patient journey end to end, from first touchpoint through clinical encounter to follow-up, and identify where friction, drop-off, or trust gaps occur

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Clinical Operations, and partner-facing teams to design solutions that hold up across a distributed network of clinicians and multiple partner integrations

  • Define the product requirements, success metrics, and evaluation criteria for AI-driven capabilities within the patient experience (for example, intake, triage support, or personalization), including partnering on model and product tradeoffs and on iteration post-launch based on real usage data

  • Break down ambiguous, cross-functional problems into clear requirements and plans, and drive alignment with Engineering from concept through launch and iteration

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as a primary product voice in conversations with Account Management and their enterprise partners about patient experience, translating patient experience strategy into terms that resonate with partner stakeholders

  • Communicate vision, tradeoffs, and progress clearly to executive leadership, engineering teams, and non-technical partner stakeholders alike

  • Mentor and influence other product managers on systems thinking and product craft in partnership with their managers

Who You Are (Job Qualifications)

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with a track record of owning consumer-facing products at a senior or lead level (Staff, Principal or equivalent scope). Leveling will be based on demonstrated scope of impact in the interview process

  • Direct experience building consumer products, ideally including B2B2C or white-label models where the end user and the paying customer are different

  • Demonstrated systems thinking: experience designing products that span multiple stakeholders, technical layers, or partner integrations

  • Real, hands-on experience delivering AI-powered products and features, not just using AI tools in your work. You can speak to the tradeoffs, evaluation methods, and iteration cycles involved in bringing an AI capability to production

  • Experience navigating the tension between enterprise partner requirements and end-user needs in a B2B2C model, particularly within healthcare or other highly regulated industries, and building product decision frameworks that satisfy compliance, brand, and clinical constraints while still serving the end consumer well

  • Outstanding written and verbal communicator who can move fluidly between consumer experience detail and executive-level strategy

  • A track record as a builder: comfortable in ambiguity, willing to get hands-on with design, data, or requirements detail when needed to keep Engineering moving fast

Skills & Competencies

  • Mix of vision and execution: able to set a compelling multi-year direction and also drive the week-to-week product decisions that translate into shipped work

  • Strong product sense for consumer experience, balanced with the operational and technical judgment needed for a B2B2C model

  • Experience partnering with enterprise or channel partners on product decisions

  • Technical fluency across APIs, integration patterns (webhooks, headless architectures, MCP and other emerging protocols), and platform product design

  • Comfortable synthesizing input from clinical, engineering, data, and partner stakeholders into a clear product direction

  • Data-driven, with the judgment to know when qualitative signal matters more than a metric

  • High ownership and autonomy; thrives in a fast-moving, lean environment

Salary and Perks

Pay Range: $201,700-$301,700 plus equity

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, the final level determined (Staff or Principal), scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.

Wheel is unable to consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization for this position.

As an employee of Wheel, you’ll enjoy our Total Rewards Program to help secure your financial future and preserve your health and well-being, including:

  • Medical, Dental and Vision

  • Ancillary: Life, Short and Long Term Disability

  • 401K match

  • Flexible PTO

  • Parental Leave

  • Stock options

  • Additional programs and perks

Wheel is committed to equal employment opportunities for all team members. Every decision we make regarding employment is solely based on merit, competence, and performance. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.

Research shows that underrepresented groups typically apply only if they meet 100% of the criteria listed. At Wheel, we encourage women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ job seekers to apply for positions even if they don’t check every box for the role.

Why this job is exciting

The Code Plane team owns the Sourcegraph products that help developers - and the agents working on their behalf - take action on code, at scale, across the world’s largest codebases. Think “data plane” and “control plane” for enterprise code: the surfaces where intent becomes code changes across hundreds (or more!) of repositories.

This is a team that builds products that use AI and products for AI. The roadmap, the architecture, and the day-to-day technical decisions all hinge on a solid experience with and a clear-eyed view of what AI models and agents are good at, where they fail, and how to design products around them. A strong handle on and opinion of AI, formed from real-world, hands-on use, not just observation, is a hard requirement for this role. If you’re excited to ship for the AI agent ecosystem rather than simply watch from the sidelines, you’ll find a lot to love here.

We’re hiring you to be the technical leader around whom this team rallies. Our product surfaces are evolving drastically as agents reshape how software is built, and we are adjusting our engineering teams to match. It is an exciting time, and a rare chance to be a strong leader shaping dev tools for the agentic age of coding. Code Plane owns high-stakes, fast-moving products at the center of that shift and needs a tech lead who will set technical and product direction, drive the roadmap from issue to shipped, and keep the team unblocked and moving. You are a generalist by choice. You go where the problem is, backend, AI agent, or frontend, and you are who people come to when it crosses a boundary.

The team’s surface areas include:

  • Batch Changes - our battle-tested execution layer for massive cross-repo changes helps developers automate large-scale code changes across all of an enterprise’s repositories: keeping code up-to-date, fixing critical security issues, and paying down tech debt, with every change tracked through checks and code review until it merges. Teams at Stripe, Uber, and Dropbox, and others use it to drive migrations, refactors, and security fixes.
  • Agentic Batch Changes. The frontier agent for code changes at scale. Building on the foundation of Batch Changes, an outer-loop agent writes  code-modification programs and orchestrates coding agents to roll out changes across the world’s largest codebases, complete with CI feedback loops and post-publish remediation. Anything a single coding agent can do in one repository, Agentic Batch Changes drives across all of them at once, from thousands of repositories to the largest monorepos.
  • Code Monitors and Code Insights - our “signals over code” products. Code Monitors notify and alert based on detected changes in critical code. A leaked secret, a deprecated library, an anti-pattern creeping back in can all turn into alerts. Code Insights turns a codebase into data to back up business decisions and customizable dashboards surfacing critical info about repos so devs can track what matters over time - migration progress, dependency adoption, vulnerability mitigation, code health - with data-driven answers.
  • The src CLI tool - the command-line surface that humans and the agents they employ use to automate Sourcegraph in their workflows. With a natural, scriptable surface, it’s quickly becoming the connective tissue between Sourcegraph and the agent ecosystem.

The features your team ships are used directly by developers and by agents working on their behalf, and you’ll partner closely with Product, Design, Customer Engineering, and adjacent engineering teams to turn customer pain into shipped product.

📅 Within one month, you will…

  • Build relationships across your team and familiarize yourself with its surface area - Batch Changes, Agentic Batch Changes, Code Monitors, Code Insights, src CLI - by running them as a user and an agent would, and form a point of view on the most important product and technical bets to make next.
  • Meet your cross-functional partners in Product, Design, Solutions Engineering, and adjacent engineering teams, and start translating customer feedback into a concrete view of what the team should ship.
  • Join the team’s on-call support rotation.

📅 Within three months, you will…

  • Own a meaningful slice of Agentic Batch Changes end-to-end and ship critical pieces yourself.
  • Be the technical lead for the team’s roadmap, scoping and sequencing projects across the team’s product surfaces, setting clear expectations for ownership, and clarifying priorities.
  • Strengthen the team practices that make their work reliable: how we design, review, test, and deliver.
  • Mentor teammates and continue to build high-trust relationships.

📅 Within six months , you will…

  • Be the recognized technical visionary for Code Plane: to your teammates, and increasingly the wider department, defer to on architecture, quality, and product trade-offs in this space.
  • Be known across the company as the person who deeply understands what customers and agent ecosystems need from Code Plane, and where Sourcegraph should invest next.
  • Be setting the direction of the team’s roadmap with conviction backed by evidence, and mobilizing other engineers to execute on it.

About you

You are a technical leader and software engineer whom people want to follow. You set technical direction, make the hard architecture and tradeoff calls, and keep the team unblocked and moving. You think in terms of customers and outcomes, not tickets. You bring a technical perspective to what the team should and should not take on, and you make the quality bar real: review culture, testing standards, and release practices. You’re scoping with Product and Design and making calls on what to cut so the team can ship. You’re tackling our hardest technical problems hands-on, and also guiding your team to grow.

Agents are one of the most important parts of this job. You have shipped for the agent ecosystem: something that agents or other programs call, with evals behind it, so you know whether a prompt, tool, or model change made things better or worse. You can say precisely where agents fail, because you have encountered it yourself and measured it.

You can take a position, argue it persuasively, and bring people with you, including the ones who started out disagreeing, and you say plainly what would change your mind. You contribute to a collaborative, respectful, async-first culture, and you keep stakeholders informed without being asked.

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Fluency across our stack, backend and frontend: Go, TypeScript, SvelteKit and React, GraphQL APIs, PostgreSQL, and Docker and Kubernetes in a multi-service environment.
  • A strong technical background,  with the ability to provide technical guidance on architecture, code quality, and trade-offs.
  • Proven experience on teams that build end-user product features — ideally developer tools, agent/AI products, CLIs, or other technical product surfaces.
  • Experience partnering closely with Product and Design to take features from idea to shipped, and incorporating customer feedback into the roadmap.
  • You have built something that agents or other programs call, not just something you used an agent to build. MCP servers, agent SDKs, tool surfaces, harnesses, or a CLI designed for non-human callers.
  • Hands-on experience using and reasoning about coding agents (Amp, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar), with strong opinions about what good looks like when humans and agents share a workflow.
  • Async-first communication skills and experience working in a globally distributed remote team.

Strongly preferred

  • You have orchestrated autonomous work at scale and built the machinery that survives it: failures that resume rather than restart, costs that stay inside a budget, and a blast radius you chose deliberately rather than discovered.
  • Experience owning a service you did not build, with paying customers on a schema you inherited, and making it better without a rewrite.
  • A track record of raising the bar for other engineers, such as a testing or code review standard or working with AI assistants
  • You are comfortable making architectural decisions where no established pattern exists, and equally comfortable revising them when the evidence turns, without needing to have been right the first time.
  • You can decide what good looks like for a system that has no single correct answer, build the measurement that proves it, and hold that standard as the ground shifts underneath you.
  • You can sit with a customer, listen past the symptom, and come back with a technical bet the team can build.
  • Experience as a Team or Tech Lead on a software engineering team.

Sales Lead Affiliate Manager at Launch Potato

Lead Affiliate Manager owns publisher relationships and margin targets across insurance, finance, and entertainment verticals, managing partner acquisition and conversion at scale.

Lead Remote Posted about 19 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

WHO ARE WE?

Launch Potato is the discovery and conversion company. We reach tens of millions of people every month through our brands, including FinanceBuzz, All About Cookies, and OnlyInYourState. We turn that attention into real outcomes for our partners, some of the world’s leading companies.

Our mission: create predictable, high-value customer acquisition at scale by connecting discovery, intent, and performance across category-leading consumer brands in finance, travel, and entertainment.

We run profitable and bootstrapped, with a South Florida HQ and a remote-first team across 18 countries.

WHY JOIN US?

You own outcomes here, not tasks. We measure work by impact, not activity. The pace is real, and change is constant, so the people who do best turn change into opportunity instead of waiting for it to settle. Feedback runs direct and lands with respect. Ordinary people make themselves extraordinary at Launch Potato.

This role is US remote. You will need to sit in a state where we are registered to do business, which the recruiter will confirm with you early.

Why This Seat

Our publisher book is growing faster than the team can reach it, and this seat exists to close that gap. You will carry a margin number from the start, own your accounts end to end, and ramp in weeks rather than quarters.

Room to build, not inherit. Publishers are arriving faster than we can onboard them, so the accounts you grow are ones you shaped rather than ones handed to you finished.

Multiple verticals, not one. Insurance, personal finance, and our wider partner network. Most affiliate manager seats narrow over time until you are the person who does one thing. This one is built to broaden. You start where you are strongest and pick up the rest as you go.

Our own offers behind you. You are not selling inventory a publisher has already seen from four other networks. That changes how the conversation goes.

What You’ll Bring

  • Four or more years managing publishers in affiliate. Direct publisher or partner management for an advertiser or a network.
  • A margin or revenue number you personally owned. You can name it, name where it started, and name what you changed.
  • A regulated vertical. Insurance, credit, lending, health, or personal finance, and the judgment that comes with working inside real constraints.
  • You treat a no as incomplete information. When an opportunity stalls on compliance, you find out precisely what blocked it, then work both sides reshaping the partner’s assets, or making the case internally where the rule allows room. You don’t abandon good opportunities and you don’t wait for someone else to solve them.
  • Tracking platform fluency. You are comfortable in a performance platform and you can tell when the data is lying. We use Tune, with IntegriShield and Lashback on the compliance side. If you learned somewhere else, that is fine.
  • Proactive optimization. You read the reporting, you see where a partner could scale or optimize, and you act. Spotting it is not the skill. Doing something about it is.

Nice to Have

  • Depth of relationship in insurance specifically
  • More than one regulated vertical
  • Experience across both direct publisher relationships and network distribution

What You’ll Own

  • Your publishers, end to end. The relationship, the opportunities, the scaling, the results.
  • The margin on your book. You will have a number. You will know where you are against it.
  • A book that stays diversified. If one partner going quiet takes half your margin with it, the book is built wrong. Managing that risk is part of the job, not something you do once it becomes urgent.
  • Compliance, before it becomes a problem. You monitor partner traffic actively and catch the issue while it is still small, then raise it with the partner directly.
  • The relationship itself. Not just answering when a partner writes. Keeping them warm, keeping them moving, keeping them glad they work with us.
  • What you learn, shared. We have a weekly session on what is working, and people flag things in between without being asked. That exchange is how this team gets better, and it only works if everyone puts in.

What Great Looks Like

  • In 90 days, you know our offers, our platform, and your partners. You have had your first real optimization conversation with a publisher and it moved a number.
  • In 6 months, you are running your book independently and pacing against your margin target, and you have started picking up the verticals you did not arrive with.
  • In 12 months, you have driven $500,000 in incremental margin, your book survives a partner going quiet, and someone else on the team is running a play you figured out.

This Isn’t the Right Seat If You

  • Want a book that is already built and a slow quarter to learn it
  • Treat compliance as a wall rather than a problem to solve internally and externally
  • Prefer to specialize narrowly and stay there
  • Margin at or below $200,000 in a single year. No direct affiliate publisher management.

Total Compensation

Base salary is set according to market rates for the nearest major metro and varies based on Launch Potato’s Levels Framework. Your compensation package includes a base salary, profit-sharing bonus, and competitive benefits. Launch Potato is a performance-driven company, which means once you are hired, future increases will be based on company and personal performance, not annual cost of living adjustments.

Want to accelerate your career? Apply now!

Since day one, we’ve been committed to having a diverse, inclusive team and culture. We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity company. We value diversity, equity, and inclusion.

We do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, status as a protected veteran, status as an individual with a disability, or other applicable legally protected characteristics.

Engineer Tech Lead - Code Plane [IC5] at Sourcegraph

Tech Lead directs engineering strategy and architecture for Sourcegraph's Code Plane products that enable developers and AI agents to navigate and modify large codebases at scale.

Lead Remote Posted about 19 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Who we are

Our mission is to bring clarity and control to the world’s most complex codebases. AI is accelerating code creation, but the infrastructure to understand, oversee, and evolve that code hasn’t kept pace. Sourcegraph gives engineering organizations full visibility across their systems, precise context for their agents, and the ability to execute coordinated code changes at scale. As agentic development becomes the dominant engineering paradigm, we provide the context layer teams need to take control of their codebase.

With Code Search, Deep Search, MCP, and Agentic Batch Changes, we deliver on that mission today - giving engineering teams and their AI tools the cross-repo context to navigate massive codebases with confidence, and the ability to make changes across hundreds of repositories at once.

Companies like Stripe, Reddit, and Leidos rely on Sourcegraph to ship faster and with higher quality. We’re backed by a16z, Sequoia, and Redpoint, and proud to operate as a globally distributed team that values high agency, direct communication, and customer love.

If you want to build the infrastructure that lets every engineering team - and every agent they deploy - operate on their codebase with confidence, join us.

Hours & location

🌎 While we hire almost anywhere in the world, we have a preference for someone to reside in the following locations for this role. However, if you feel qualified, we welcome you to apply regardless of location. No matter what, working hours must overlap with CEST for at least 20 hours/week.

Preferred locations:

  • Europe
  • EST

  • Async-first communication skills and experience working in a globally distributed remote team.

Leads DevOps and SRE teams to build reliable, scalable, and secure AWS-based production infrastructure while spending 20-30% time on hands-on architecture and tooling work.

Lead Remote Posted 1 day ago We Work Remotely — Programming
What this role involves

Headquarters: Remote, United States

Director of Production Engineering

Remote, United States

About this Position

Are you passionate about building the reliability, automation, and security foundations that let engineering teams move fast with confidence? At Legion, we are seeking a Director of Engineering, DevOps & SRE to lead the teams responsible for the availability, scalability, and security of our production environment. Our production infrastructure runs on AWS, leveraging services such as EKS, RDS, and a broad set of AWS-native technologies. You will partner closely with engineering and IT to build resilient systems, drive operational excellence, and ensure our platform meets the highest standards of security and compliance.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll spend ~20-30% of your time contributing directly to architecture, tooling, and incident response, and the rest driving vision, roadmap, and cross-team execution.

Responsibilities

  • Hire and build a globally-distributed DevOps/SRE engineering team. Recruit, mentor, and manage engineers, and foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Own the reliability and infrastructure roadmap for our AWS-based production environment, including EKS, RDS, and related AWS services, ensuring scalability, high availability, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead the organization's security operations (SecOps) practice, including vulnerability management, threat detection, incident response, and remediation, to proactively identify and resolve security issues before they impact customers.
  • Define and drive engineering OKRs for infrastructure reliability, automation, and security, and track progress against measurable outcomes.
  • Champion observability and alerting best practices (e.g., Datadog), including automating alert triage and response to reduce mean-time-to-resolution.
  • Solid understanding of agentic AI infrastructure and how AI agentic workflows apply to SDLC and DevOps processes (e.g., automated investigation, remediation, and PR-generation pipelines).
  • Drive Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and automation practices to increase engineering velocity and reduce operational toil.
  • Work closely with engineering and IT teams to align on infrastructure standards, access controls, tooling, and compliance requirements across the organization.
  • Ensure the platform meets the highest standards of security, compliance, and data protection; implement and maintain robust security controls and audit-readiness.
  • Lead and participate in the Incident Management on-call rotation, working with SRE and development teams to meet and exceed availability goals.
  • Stay current on cloud, DevOps, and security best practices, and provide technical guidance and thought leadership to the broader engineering organization.

Required Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or production infrastructure roles, including people management experience.
  • Deep hands-on experience running production workloads on AWS, including EKS (Kubernetes), RDS, and other core AWS services (e.g., VPC, IAM, Lambda, S3).
  • Demonstrated experience running security operations (SecOps) — vulnerability management, incident response, and remediation of production security issues.
  • 5+ years of experience leveraging observability platforms (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana) to drive reliability, performance, and alerting improvements.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD automation.
  • Proficiency in at least one of Go, Python, or Bash, with day-to-day use of Git and test automation pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience operating Linux/Unix production platforms (Amazon Linux, Ubuntu, RHEL/CentOS).
  • Proven track record partnering cross-functionally with engineering and IT teams to align on infrastructure, tooling, and security standards.
  • Demonstrated experience leading incident management and on-call practices for high-availability production systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Legion Technologies delivers the industry’s most innovative workforce management platform. It enables businesses to maximize labor efficiency and employee engagement simultaneously. The award-winning, AI-driven Legion WFM platform is intelligent, automated, and employee-centric. It’s proven to deliver 13x ROI through schedule optimization, reduced attrition, increased productivity, and increased operational efficiency. Legion delivers cutting-edge technology in an easy-to-use platform and mobile app that employees love.

If you're ready to make an impact and grow your career, Legion is where you belong. Join us in making hourly work rewarding and fulfilling.

BACKGROUND AND OPPORTUNITY

There are almost 75 million hourly workers in the United States, representing more than half of the entire workforce. Historically, managing hourly employees has been difficult due to high attrition (average of 60%) and high replacement costs (average of $3,200 per employee in retail). The ongoing labor shortage and competition from the gig economy make it more difficult to attract and retain hourly employees. The top reasons hourly employees leave their jobs are a lack of schedule empowerment, poor communication with employers, and an inability to get paid early. Gen Z and the millennial workforce demand gig-like flexibility, modern technology, and compelling work options. Legion’s mission is to turn hourly jobs into good jobs, serving the hourly workers who make up the majority of the US workforce. We believe in empowering employees and helping employers be efficient and innovative by enabling intelligent automation powered by Legion’s Workforce Management platform to optimize labor efficiency and enhance the employee experience simultaneously. Legion WFM was built for the cloud with AI at the core and designed to handle the complexity of modern businesses and meet the needs of today’s hourly employees.  Our team is comprised of dedicated individuals from all backgrounds and experiences, globally distributed across all time zones.

DISABILITY ACCOMMODATION

For individuals with disabilities who need additional assistance at any point in the application and interview process, please email recruiting@legion.co

We have noticed a rise in recruiting impersonations across the industry, where scammers attempt to access candidates' personal and financial information through fake interviews and offers. All Legion recruiting email communications will always come from the @legion.co domain. Any outreach claiming to be from Legion via other sources should be ignored. If you are uncertain whether you have been contacted by an official Legion employee, reach out to recruiting@legion.co

Legion is an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, religion, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, veteran, disability status, or any other basis covered by appropriate law.

How We Determine What We Pay

As a global employer, Legion determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living. For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s location, level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.

This is a remote opportunity and we would be interested in applicants from USA in EST time zones only at this time.

Senior Engineering Manager, Grafana Frontend

The Opportunity:

Grafana is an open-source observability product and a platform that teams and plugin developers build on. The Frontend group shapes its user experience (from dashboards and visualisation to navigation, search and sharing) and the foundations that support engineering teams and community contributors across the Grafana ecosystem.

As Senior Engineering Manager, you’ll lead the Frontend Platform and Navigation squads, owning their performance, delivery and customer outcomes. Frontend Platform enables teams to build reliable, high-quality experiences; Navigation helps users find and organise resources and move confidently through Grafana.

You’ll develop senior engineers, partner with Product and Design, and improve how teams work, including through AI and automation. We use Cloud-first rollout and experimentation to learn quickly, bringing relevant improvements to OSS and Enterprise.

AI Notice: We invest heavily in developer productivity. You can use modern AI coding assistants as part of your daily workflow (your choice of tools, within security guidelines), backed by a company-funded usage budget so you can iterate quickly without unnecessary friction. We encourage pragmatic AI-assisted development: faster prototyping, test generation, refactors, documentation, and incident follow-ups—always with strong code review and quality standards. You’ll also have access to the latest frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Be accountable for the performance of two distributed engineering squads: set clear expectations, delegate effectively, coach and develop each team member, give timely feedback, address performance gaps and build a culture of trust and accountability.
  • Own hiring and team planning across both squads, aligning team capacity and skills with product priorities and longer-term needs.
  • Lead discovery with your squads: engage directly with customers, community members and internal users, combine their feedback with research and usage evidence, and use those insights to shape roadmaps and priorities.
  • Partner with Product, Design and engineering leaders to set priorities, resolve dependencies and make trade-offs between customer needs, long-term investments and operational demands.
  • Own delivery across both squads from discovery through rollout and measurement: set milestones, surface risks early and intervene when commitments are at risk.
  • Use AI regularly in your management work to synthesise research and feedback, inform roadmap and resourcing decisions, and streamline coordination, reporting and follow-through.
  • Improve how the squads plan, make decisions and deliver. Lead the adoption of AI and automation across engineering and operational workflows, evaluating their impact on delivery speed, quality and time spent on repetitive work.
  • Set engineering direction with senior engineers for the frontend foundations owned by your squads, including developer experience, accessibility, architecture, tooling, reliability and multitenant capabilities.
  • Set engineering direction for navigation, search and resource organisation, including where AI-assisted discovery can help users find what they need.
  • Set and uphold engineering standards for quality, security and operability, including how teams evaluate and validate AI-assisted work.
  • Lead improvements across Grafana and R&D that increase engineering productivity and improve business outcomes.
  • Participate in the engineering management on-call rota, coordinate responses and drive improvements that reduce recurring disruption. Regularly use Grafana’s AI capabilities for observability, incident investigation and management, bringing that experience into product feedback and roadmap decisions.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Significant experience managing senior engineers, building healthy teams and developing technical leaders. You give clear feedback and address performance gaps directly and fairly.
  • A strong technical foundation in modern web or frontend systems, enabling you to evaluate technical trade-offs and shape architectural and engineering-quality decisions with senior engineers.
  • A track record of turning ambiguous, cross-team problems into clear priorities and measurable results, managing delivery risks and operational demands.
  • Strong product and customer judgement, with the ability to connect engineering investments to user, developer and business outcomes.
  • Clear, concise written communication and the ability to work effectively in a remote, globally distributed organisation.
  • An appreciation for open-source development and the judgement to balance Cloud-first delivery with the needs of customers, community members and internal teams.
  • Practical experience using AI and automation in your own leadership work, and leading teams to adopt them effectively.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with React, TypeScript or comparable large-scale frontend ecosystems.
  • Experience leading a developer platform team, including support for plugins or extensions.
  • Experience with navigation, search, information architecture or resource-management products.
  • Experience delivering multitenant SaaS or major platform migrations.
  • Experience working on a widely adopted open-source product.

What this role involves

Grafana Labs is the company behind Grafana Cloud, the fully managed observability platform trusted by more than 10,000 organizations to ensure reliability, resolve incidents faster, and optimize telemetry at scale. Built on open source and open standards and designed for interoperability across any stack, Grafana Cloud brings AI to observability and observability to AI, giving teams (and their agents) unified visibility so they can see, understand, and act on all their disparate data, wherever it lives, and move at the speed of their ambitions. Customers, including Anthropic, Bloomberg, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Salesforce, rely on Grafana Labs. We are a 100% remote company with team members across 40+ countries, backed by leading investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Sequoia Capital, GIC, Coatue, J.P. Morgan, CapitalG, and Lead Edge Capital. Learn more at grafana.com and follow us on LinkedIn and X.

We’re scaling fast and staying true to what makes us different: an open-source legacy, a global collaborative culture, and a passion for meaningful work. Our team thrives in an innovation-driven environment where transparency, autonomy, and trust fuel everything we do.

You may not meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If this role excites you, we’d love you to raise your hand for what could be a truly career-defining opportunity.

The Opportunity:

The Field Engineering team works closely with our Presales Solution Engineering team, as well as Product and Marketing, to ensure the SE’s have the tools, collateral, enablement and experts they need to close business. If you’ve ever served in a Technical Presales role for a software company, you know just how much knowledge you are expected to have, demos you need to show, workshops you need to execute on, etc. The Field Engineering team maintains the backend systems, content creation and deep subject matter expertise that enables the Solution Engineering team to scale and focus on direct customer selling, community building, learning, and other adoption and revenue-focused activities. As a Staff Field Engineer, you are viewed by Sales and FE leadership as being in the top 20% of the field team, operating with little to no supervision on the company’s most strategic engagements and serving as a mentor to Senior Field Engineers and Solution Engineers.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Advise on and support some of Grafana’s most strategic deals and customer engagements, collaborating with Solution Engineers and Observability Architects on the company’s most complex technical challenges with no supervision.
  • Serve as a company-recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one area of the Grafana Platform, and deep knowledge across multiple Grafana technologies, building new reference architectures from scratch and overcoming competitive objections in the field
  • Proven ability to craft and deliver compelling value based stories to help the sales team technically close deals.
  • Own end-to-end creation and curation of technical training content (workshops, how-to guides, demo scripts) for one or more product areas, and establish a repeatable content review cadence in partnership with Enablement and Product Management to keep materials aligned with the product roadmap
  • Architect, engineer, and maintain a live production environment that supports demo, workshop, and POV infrastructure at scale, ensuring reliability, security, and uptime.
  • Act as a key influencer in product direction, helping key customers adopt newer technologies, and represent Field Engineering in Product planning cycles to surface enablement gaps and shape investment priorities
  • Serve as a presenter for Strategic Marketing events (presentations, panels, webinars, conferences, blogs) as an ambassador for Grafana
  • Provide technical guidance for a specific product area to Solution Engineers, Observability Architects and customers, and present best practices to customers
  • Help update and improve product documentation, and contribute back to the organization through white papers, blogs, and product direction input
  • Mentor Senior and Staff Solution Engineers and Field Engineers

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of related technical experience, including 2+ years in a Senior Field Engineer role (or equivalent), serving as a SRE, Developer, Architect and/or successful presales Solution Architect. OSS development experience is a plus.
  • Excellent understanding of Grafana and associated technologies, with recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) depth in at least one area of the Grafana Platform; deep working knowledge across multiple technologies in the Observability space (e.g. Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Tempo, Elastic, Splunk, Datadog, etc.)
  • Expert-level knowledge in at least one adjacent domain (e.g. IoT, AI/ML) beyond the core observability stack, and demonstrated domain knowledge across the broader Grafana Ecosystem
  • Has created and maintained at least one product training asset (workshop, guide, or structured content) that has been adopted by the broader technical field organization
  • Demonstrated experience partnering cross-functionally with Product Management and Engineering to produce and maintain field-facing enablement content and influence roadmap priorities
  • Comfortable with at least one modern programming language, and a strong understanding of the modern software development lifecycle, including debugging and investigation
  • Working familiarity with Linux, including common tools
  • Practical experience using AI tools to generate and review code and to accelerate day-to-day tasks, while retaining full ownership of final decisions and quality criteria for the resulting work
  • Able to architect a modern application on one of the primary cloud providers (AWS, Azure or GCP), including IaC tools such as Terraform, understanding the tradeoffs between build vs. buy, and the technologies that make up that architecture such as Kubernetes, Docker, Serverless, Microservices and more
  • Proven track record building and delivering strategic technical content (workshops, demos, decks, webinars, videos) for technical audiences, including complex POVs and content that overcomes competitive objections
  • Deep understanding of the sales process, with the ability to anticipate and proactively address challenges in complex, strategic sales cycles
